As a business what types of problem are you solving?
This is a question that's central to the existence of any business but we don't ask this often. To ourselves and our users.
The need to validate this question arises because the nature of problems changes with time and while we are preoccupied with upgrades, new features and social elements, if the nature of underlying problem changes, it may cause havoc to the business.
are you solving the most intense pain felt by your audience?
An intense pain comes from a task that is both important and urgent. If you can solve such a problem for your customers your product will meet the market test.
How should you validate that the problem you are solving is indeed an intense paid experienced by your customers? Here are some pointers:
- It occurs often
- It needs to be dealt with (can't be postponed or delegated)
- It's important every single time
Consequentially, your solution will be required every single time.
